How to get to Yaroslavl

Yaroslavl is the administrative center of Yaroslavl region, located in Central Russia, about 250 km to the north-east of Moscow.

The usual way to reach Yaroslavl is by train. The recommended high-speed trains No. 102, 104, 106 with comfortable seats depart from Yaroslavsky railway station in Moscow every day at 7:35, 14:45, and 19:05. The traveling time is about 3.5 hours. There are also many other trains calling at Yaroslavl but they usually take more than 4 hours.

From St.-Petersburg there are sleeper trains 045 and 337/347 departing at 17:11 and 18:14 and arriving at 5:38 and 6:49. For these trains it is recommended to use “compartment” or “soft” types of coach.
